Privacy Policy
Last updated: 27 July 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how SILO77, LLC (“SILO77”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, and shares personal information when you visit silo77.com or use any application, product, or service we offer (together, the “Services”).
Individual applications may have privacy practices specific to them. Where an application provides its own privacy notice or App Store privacy disclosure, that notice governs for that application and this policy applies to everything it does not address.
Some of our software is published as open source and can be run by you or by a third party on infrastructure we do not operate. When you run our software yourself, we do not receive the information it processes, and this policy applies only to the parts of the Services we actually operate — such as this website, hosted accounts, and any service you connect to.
Information we collect
We collect the following categories of information:
- Information you provide. Account details such as your name and email address, the contents of support requests and other correspondence, survey or feedback responses, and any content you choose to store in or submit through the Services.
- Purchase and subscription information. Records of purchases, subscription status, renewal dates, and billing history. Payment card details are collected and processed by our payment processors and by the Apple App Store; we do not receive or store full payment card numbers.
- Usage and diagnostic information. Information about how the Services are used, including features accessed, actions taken, session length, performance metrics, crash reports, and error logs.
- Device and connection information. Device model, operating system and version, application version, language and region settings, unique or pseudonymous device and installation identifiers, and IP address.
- Cookies and similar technologies. We and our service providers may use cookies, local storage, and similar technologies on our website to operate the site, remember preferences, and measure traffic.
How we use information
- To provide, operate, maintain, and improve the Services.
- To create and administer accounts, process purchases, manage subscriptions, and deliver the features you have paid for.
- To diagnose problems, monitor stability and performance, and develop new features.
- To communicate with you about your account, transactions, technical notices, updates, and support requests.
- To send marketing or product communications where you have opted in or where otherwise permitted by law. You may opt out at any time.
- To detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents, and to enforce our terms.
- To comply with legal obligations and to establish or defend legal claims.
Where the GDPR or similar law applies, we rely on the following legal bases: performance of a contract with you; our legitimate interests in operating, securing, and improving the Services; your consent, where requested; and compliance with legal obligations.
How we share information
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising. We disclose information only as follows:
- Service providers. Companies that perform services on our behalf — including cloud hosting and storage, payment processing, analytics and crash reporting, email delivery, and customer support tooling — and that are permitted to use the information only to provide those services to us.
- AI model providers. Where a feature is powered by artificial intelligence, the content needed to fulfil your request is sent to the model provider that powers that feature, as described under “AI features” below.
- App marketplaces. Where you purchase through the Apple App Store or a similar marketplace, that marketplace processes your transaction under its own privacy policy.
- Legal and safety. Where we believe disclosure is required by law or legal process, or is reasonably necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of SILO77, our users, or the public.
- Business transfers. In connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, subject to this policy continuing to apply to the transferred information.
AI features
Some Services include features powered by artificial intelligence. To provide those features, we send the content needed to fulfil your request — for example, the text, files, or other input you supply, along with instructions from the application — to a third-party model provider such as Anthropic or OpenAI, which processes it and returns a result to us. Where a Service uses AI in a way that is not obvious, we identify it in the application.
We access these providers through their commercial APIs. Under the terms that apply to that access, your content is not used to train their models, and providers retain it only for a limited period for abuse monitoring and to operate the service before deleting it. Provider practices are governed by their own terms and privacy policies, which we encourage you to read.
We do not use the content you submit to train our own models. Please do not submit information to AI features that you would not want transmitted to a third-party provider, and be aware that AI output can be inaccurate — see our Terms of Service for more on this.
Retention
We retain personal information for as long as needed to provide the Services and for the purposes described in this policy — for example, for the life of your account, plus any period required to comply with legal, tax, accounting, or dispute-resolution obligations. Diagnostic and usage data is generally retained for a shorter period. When information is no longer needed, we delete it or de-identify it.
Security
We use technical and organisational measures intended to protect personal information against unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction, including encryption in transit and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information; to object to or restrict certain processing; to withdraw consent; and to appeal a decision we make about your request. Residents of California and certain other US states have rights to know, delete, correct, and to be free from discrimination for exercising those rights.
To exercise any of these rights, email team@silo77.com. We will verify your request and respond within the timeframe required by applicable law. If you are in the EEA or UK, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
International transfers
SILO77 is based in the United States and our service providers may process information in the United States and other countries. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses, for transfers of personal information out of the EEA or UK.
Children
The Services are not directed to children under 13, or under the minimum age at which personal information may be processed without parental consent where you live if that age is higher, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “last updated” date above, and where the changes are material we will provide additional notice — for example, by email or an in-app notice.
